My inspiration for my magazine
This article by Alexey Brodovitch inspired me because of how the text copies the formation of the image next to it. I like the simplicity of how the article looks like and i really wanted to show that within my own work. This image also inspired me to do an article on fashion. I quickly thought about Yves Saint Laurent and how much he's been in the fashion news.
Original logo picture:
He has been in the fashion news lately for the changing of the original logo that is going to happen in the next year. Therefore i found an article discussing why it is changing and the problematic issue that it may or may not cause.
The reason why i chose to use the Mondrain as my background of my newspaper because Yves Saint Laurent is highly known for his Mondrain inspired day dress. Therefore I just wanted to use one of his most famous clothing pieces.

My Logo
The logo I designed is to symbolizes a gym location. My idea came from the dumbbell being an exercising equipment, and the letter G to represent the actual word Gym. I decided to to connect the both of them to look like the letter G is actually part of the dumbbell and when you were to look at it, it looks like the G is picking up the dumbbell.

Typography: Humanist and Collage Designer
1. The humanist type that caught my eye while I was browsing the different writings was the LTC Kennerley Swash
2. For the research on collage designers, the one who caught my eye immediately was Hannah Hoch.
What caught my attention is how she uses the human body within her collages and the color being used.
Hannah Hoch was a pioneer of the art form that became well known as photomontage. Most of her pieces involve the mass culture of the beauty and fashion industries. For this she became well known in the beauty industry for her work, and was used for advertising.
I think this is why it really caught my eye, since the first picture I saw was the one above (with the vibrant red lips), it gave me a sense of make up or beauty involve within the meaning. Make up has been a hobby of mine and I am looking forward to continuing my career in that field. This is most probably going to be my inspiration for my poster project.

Kyle Cooper
Kyle Cooper's designs can be found on page 180 from his work when he designed the edgy sequence for David Fincher's Seven in 1995. Which is shown in the book as well :
I began to search Cooper and his work on the internet and came across these designs for his company Prologue:
I just love the colors used in these designs and the retro feel that comes across. I love the fact that every picture is different but when put together as shown you can definitly tell that he's depicting a married couple and the different views. Overall i just enjoy the retro sense and the colors being used in his designs.
